A Pasta Maker Machine - An Easy Way To Make Fresh Pasta


Producing ones own pasta is not as challenging as you might assume, and the final product is just delightful, a far cry from the dry version you most likely normally buy in your neighborhood shop. A standard pasta recipe contains nothing other than semolina or durum wheat flour, olive oil, eggs, salt and a little water. You have to change the pasta maker machine to the thickest position and roll the pasta out by pulling it through the device three or four times - if you purchased a manual unit then you have got to crank a handle to do this; an automatic electric device will pull the dough through for you. Afterward you change the pasta machine again, selecting the next lowest thickness, and pass the dough through three times more. The procedure is repeated until you have a long thin sheet of pasta. This is then cut to the preferred length. At this moment the next function of the pasta maker machine comes into play. All the units include a cutting function to cut the pasta sheet into strips. Merely pick the size you would like and put the dough through the pasta cutter. That's all! Simply leave the completed pasta for an hour or so to dry - a pasta drying rack should help with this bit - and it's ready to cook.
