A Television Documentary About Alcoholism Symptoms Results In Dismal Feelings About A Woman's Abusive Drinking
Sharon had been engaging in excessive drinking behavior since her junior year in college. Now, seven years later, she drank more than ever. One Tuesday evening when she wasn't feeling too well, Sharon made up her mind to stay home, chill out, and watch TV. While hunting for something to watch that would grab hold of her attention, she without delay became fascinated with a special program about young adult and teenage drinking troubles.
The narrator talked about the difference between alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency and then got into the topic of alcoholic symptoms and alcoholic behavior. When the speaker went into detail about an individual's symptoms of withdrawal and some of the more typical alcohol addiction symptoms and signs that alcohol addicted people exhibit, Sharon got quite worried because it virtually seemed as if the speaker was talking specifically to her.
After watching the television program, Sharon made a promise to herself that she would call her doctor the following morning and make an appointment to discuss her abusive and careless drinking.
When the next workday arrived, true to her word, Sharon called her health care provider and scheduled an appointment. In the meantime, she went on the web and did a search for alcoholism symptoms. Especially noteworthy were the following symptoms or signs: making excuses to drink at virtually every opportunity, sneaking extra drinks before social events, increasing irritability, serious relationship and work-related problems, and sleep problems.
In short, since Sharon exhibited all of these signs she went deeper in her Internet search and found quite a few blogs and websites that discussed various alcoholic warning signs and symptoms. One of the symptoms that really grabbed her interest was the following: "Do you commonly drink after telling yourself that you won't?"
Another alcohol addiction sign that caught her awareness was the following: "Have individuals gotten on your nerves by frowning on your irresponsible and hazardous drinking?" A third alcohol dependency warning sign was the following: "Do you crave a drink when you first get up in the morning?"
The final alcoholism warning sign that made her feel especially on edge about her irresponsible and abusive drinking was the following: "Has your motivation declined since you started drinking more often?" When Sharon read this sign she noticeably recognized that drinking had become a severe problem in her life because of her lack of energy and also because she quit pursuing her passions and her goals.
After thinking about all of these hurtful alcoholism symptoms and signs, Sharon at first felt dejected. Then something exciting took place. She reflected on the fact knew that she was going to see her health care provider about her irresponsible and abusive drinking and she also knew that she would talk about her alcoholism warning symptoms and signs.
In fact, for the first time in quite a few months, Sharon frankly felt a sense of hope because she was addressing her irresponsible and abusive drinking and was at last ready to make the necessary changes so that she could repossess the life that was slipping away.
