I grew up in a smaller sized district, with a few to no friends and neighbors and woods around my residence. I didn't have any kind of area to play in or playgrounds to run up and down. I am a parent of two today, and the glad owner of an outdoor swing set. There are days when I simply can't cope up with my young children and all I can do is to send them outdoor to play on it. Without having the swings and slide to stay them involved I don't get a break very easily. So it makes me think how my mother survived. I remember climbing trees and hiking down trails in the woodland to keep myself involved. Being an avid book reader I could engage myself for a lot of time in just the particulars of a story. But I never had a patio swing set unluckily.
I don't think kids today have it better than we did back then, but I do believe they have it more easier. The lifestyle these days takes so little endeavor in order for it to obtain entertainment. My kids can sit down and enter a different time without so much considering about the word ideas much less using one. The games are all interactive and full of animation that are even better than movies I used to be so excited to see in the cinemas two times annually. Whether you feel this is good, but a majority will agree that it is not better.
Looks like more has transformed than just the year, we have traded in backyard activities for outdoor swing sets.
