Iscar Adds Their Latest Innovations To A Extensive Line Of Prospering Hole Making Solutions
Iscar recently released a variety of different drilling innovations to meet their customers needs. These innovative products are Sumocham Drill, DR-DH and Deep Drills. Drawing off of their experience Iscar has come up with new and innovative ways to enhance productivity for the customer. Here is a little bit about these new products, and how they will benefit the end user of these products.
SUMOCHAM Drills
ISCAR's new SUMOCHAM drill family is an advanced development of the extraordinarily outstanding CHAMDRILL and CHAMDRILLJET drill families. The drill features twisted coolant nozzles with indexable drilling heads which are available in different head configurations for a variety of material groups. SUMOCHAM drills can be used on milling centers or lathes.
SUMOCHAM features four different standard drill head geometries, designed for unmatchable performance and high dependability. The drill head is constructed with a sharp cutting edge and polished flutes. SUMOCHAM drilling heads are offered in the diameter range of 8 to 25.9 mm. The drill head has ground flutes for smooth, uninterrupted chip flow and a ground gash for improved penetration.
The drill shank design is in accordance to DIN 9766 standard, with available drilling depth to diameter ratios of 1.5XD, 3xD, 5XD and 8xD. All drill bodies showcase coolant through holes. The accurate cylinder added to the clamping portion improves rigidity and decreases internal stresses. The rotation stopper planes are precisely ground, which increase the control on the drilling head position and support, increasing tool performance and life. ISCAR's innovative SUMOCHAM drill line will offer longer tool life and higher productivity.
DR-DH Deep Drills
DR-DH drills can accomplish drilling depth-to-diameter ratio of 7XD and up. Designed to be employed on standard horizontal milling centers, turning, and multi-task machines. Use of additional machine and setup can be avoided. They will be offered as semi-standard product in a diameter range of 25.4 to 69.5 mm (1.00 - 2.73").
Two versions will be available:
A Single Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FS is a very stiff tool with a patented chip gullet design. It was engineered for easily cut materials such as cast iron and low alloyed steel.
A Double Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FD has a double chip gullet for upgraded chip flow. It was tailored for drilling gummy materials such as non-alloyed steel and high temperature alloys.
ISCAR DEEP HOLE DRILLS
With ISCAR's innovative solid carbide deep hole drills, you can easily drill up to 22 times diameter and reach bottom10% faster than with other solid carbide drills - and six times faster than a HSS drill. This ability can speed up several high-volume operations. The deep-hole drilling station no longer has to slow down a transfer line or stop it completely because a drill broke.
Other target applications encompass deep holes for automotive, hydraulic blocks and die & mold work. A aggregate of features aid the twist drills to cut faster, straighter,deeper, last longer and evacuate chips more readily. A unique high-strength core creates a more long lasting drill point and allows for deeper flutes, enlarging the departure path for chips.
