Savior Of Summertime - My Precious Pedestal Fan
This summer was pretty balmy, and being a starving college student, I was poor on cash. This meant paying a high air con bill was out of the question. Luckily, I happened to be extending a helping hand with my friend who was relocating to a much more frigid climate. I spied his oscillating pedestal fan by just sitting there, patiently waiting to deliver me from the tough heat wave that swept the area, suppressing free thought and comfort on all who were in its domineering grip.
Not to mention it was a pedestal fan with remote control. Hallelujah! My prayers had been answered by one of many pedestal fans. I could relax once more, never to be pestered by the unruly climate. I could plop down with ease also knowing that this thing would not dig its heels into my almost non-existent budget with power consumption.
The fact that it was sufficiently small to be handy was a godsend as well, mostly since I was too broke to afford one myself and thus it can go with me wherever I wanted to bring it. After that, we were the best of buddies. We went on all sorts of activities; fighting zombies, heading to the moon, and even scuba diving.
Alas, 2 months after I discovered I was no more allowed to give plasma for money anymore, so I had to sell my pedestal fan in a last ditch attempt to get sufficient money to afford a nice date with a lady (who later on solved my cash problems). Once I had the money to liberate my best pedestal fan with remote control, I had discovered that it was not available as it had forsaken me.
I assume I will never know a finer oscillating pedestal fan, for my fan was the best of any other pedestal fans. Do not forget me my pedestal fan, wherever your trips shall take you! You are dearly missed.
