I felt that I knew the ideology of promotion pretty well, but I knew that my lack of education in the field was holding me back. Nevertheless, I was a little bit hazy on some of the finer details. I had not ever had any marketing classes, and was ignorant of some of the most imperative terms and theories in the field of advertising and marketing. After a quick bit of soul-searching, I made the decision to go back to school. Knowing that I now wanted to make a job path of it, I decided to learn the ideals of niche marketing as well as I could.
It might not seem as if it from an outsiders view, but niche marketing process is one of the most difficult and limitless subjects to learn. You see, with the perfection of market research marketing, every-thing has gotten much more complicated. As our analytical tools get better and the public gets more cynical and jaded with respect to commercials, marketing has to wage an ever escalating struggle for the minds and desires of consumers. This may sound dystopian, but in point of fact it is a straightforward principle of marketing. Make no mistake about it - merchandising and advertising firms deal in mind control.
