Why I Need A Translator Who Can Translate Polish Into English
Last month I traveled to Poland from England. Being an Englishman I obviously am not familiar with the Polish language, as a result I encountered many troubles due to this. I needed someone who could have translated the language, i.e. I wanted a translator Polish to English, but I was helpless to locate one.
The difficulties started from the very start of my visit. The hotel I was living in interestingly did not have any decent English speaking attendants. Only a supervisor managed to talk to me. Right from the door keeper to the waiter, all Polish! Frustrated I decided to take a walk around the hotel. While wandering, I came across a Flower dealer - gorgeous daffodils and adorable roses filled her flower bouquet.
I was to ask her about the cost of one flower bunch and the woman simply kept staring at me for 5 minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I chose to get a lad who know how to translate Polish to English. But as I said I searched, but could not find one. The vacation thus had this sort of problems all the while.
Luckily my work was not of talking with the Polish people much, so I was able to concentrate on my work. Sometimes such events occurred to amuse me, that people are so unwilling to learn the worldwide language. Yes you can say that was true patriotism, but in the search of true patriotism they lost a few foreign currency that could have had some influence on the overall economy!
But I was additionally ignorant to enter a foreign language nation without knowing anything about them. Now that I have returned, I am learning the Polish language - at least partially. Lastly as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I made use of a translation Polish to English software program for the last sentence)
